Summary[]

Long before Sofia and her family were invited to Elena's Coronation in the series finale of Elena of Avalor, Sofia and her family were invited on Halloween to a Haunted Mansion based on the Disney Parks' attraction. The 10 Disney Princesses joins in.

It was Halloween night once again in Enchancia. All of the people of the kingdom, especially those who are gone and became ghosts were getting everything prepped for another ghostly gala. All the other children, especially Calista all together went trick-or-treating. Sofia, as a teenager was really enjoying herself as both princess, storykeeper, and protector, reading books, especially, "Peter and the Wolf", and "The Sorcerer's Apprentice". James and Amber came in to Sofia room, looking for her.

James: Oh. There you are, Sof. You've gotta come to the global room right now. 'Cuz we just got a very special message.

Sofia: I'm on my way.

When they arrived at the room, Roland, and Miranda were waiting.

Roland: We've been waiting for you, kids. And Sof, I think you're gonna have to read this message.

Sofia: Okay.

So, Sofia opened the letter unfolded a sheet, and then noticed who wrote it.

Sofia: It's from Merlin, Flora, Fauna, and Merryweather.

Sofia read the message out loud.

Dear Royal Family of Enchancia...

You are invited to a mysterious and spooky tour attraction called, "The Haunted Mansion"! All the ghost of this place have been dying to meet you. Nearly one year ago, we have planned some construction to build the Mansion based on the Disney Parks. After nearly one year, the construction is complete. It is now a combination of Disneyland and Walt Disney World resort. It even has more than just The Screaming Song, "Grim Grinning Ghosts". It is built close to the entrance of the Dunwiddle Village. So hurry over! They would like your company!

Sofia: Ahh, wow! The Haunted Mansion is filled with ghosts, too! In all my days, I've never seen any other place get haunted besides our castle during the Gala.

Amber: Heh, well, I'm not scared of ghosts. I like them, though.

James: I know it's close by. So the message says that we should hurry over. They would like us, right?

Miranda: Of course.

Roland: And good for the kingdom.

Amber: Just as long as we get to go hiking.

So, with all the areas of the castle secure, The Royal Family headed out of the castle in a carriage, thru the village, and to a carriage stop in front of a sign that says, "The Haunted Mansion". Everyone got off the carriage, and followed the trail. Amber saw her amulet glowing, and so did Sofia.

Amber: Uh, Sofia?

Sofia: I saw it.

Just as the Royal family turned around, the ten Disney Princesses, who were summoned to help Sofia, appeared again.

Sofia: [giggles] Hello there, ladies.

All Disney Princesses: Hi!

Amber: It's been a while.

James: So lemme get this straight, Sof. Whenever you're in trouble, your amulet calls another princess to help, and now your amulet summons yourself to help another? And you never told us?!

Sofia: Uh, I might've told Amber about it.

Roland: Is that so?

Cinderella took a look at the children. They've grown up into preteens.

Cinderella: You sure changed quite a bit since we first met, Sof.

Sofia: We sure have.

Snow White: We hear you got your career as protector of the Ever Realm, huh?

Sofia: Why yes. As a matter of fact I've got an Enchantlet before I got the job.

Snow White: Very nice.

Sofia took a look at Ariel's feet. She felt curious about why Ariel is now walking on land instead of swimming in water.

Sofia: Ariel, why are you walking and running on land with human feet and legs?

Ariel: I'm not sure if you heard this or not, but I somehow made a deal with an wicked Underwater Sea witch, Ursula, where she took my voice in exchange for a pair of these legs!

Sofia: What? Your voice was taken by Ursula? You shouldn't have even listened to her!

Ariel: I know. Luckily, after Ursula's necklace was shattered into pieces on the deck, my voice is back. And with Prince Eric's help, we managed to vanquish that Sea Witch for all of merpeople and humanity.

Sofia: Really.

Ariel: And the Good news is, my father, King Triton, brought hope and faith to mankind. That's when Eric and I got married, and gave birth to my new daughter, Melody.

Sofia: Wow, I'm impressed.

Cinderella took a close look at Sofia's amulet; it still wasn't purple or red anymore. It's now, pink.

Cinderella: Say, what happened to your amulet, Sofia?

Sofia: Um... I'm not sure if you ladies knew this or not, although my family might've, but there used to be a princess named, Elena trapped inside it.

All Disney Princesses: [gasps in fear and horror]

Mulan: What?!

Rapunzel: Trapped?!

Aurora: It can't be!

Tiana: Unreal!

Merida: No way!

Jasmine: Impossible!

Snow White: Imprisoned?!

Belle: How can this happen?!

Ariel: Oh my gosh!

Cinderella: How?!

Sofia: For a flashback, an evil sorceress tried to harm Elena, but the amulet saved her life by pulling her inside it! And it turned from Red to Purple!

Cinderella: Oh no, that's a bummer.

Sofia: I know. Shuriki thought she had gotten rid of Elena, but she was wrong. So after I freed her by stealing Shuriki's wand, wrapping my amulet around it, and placing it on the crown of Aziluna, it turned from purple to pink!

Cinderella: So it changed colors?!

Sofia: Exactly!

Snow White: It's powers must've changed, too.

Sofia: The good news is, I'm in control of my amulet's powers.

Aurora: Wow, very nice.

Sofia: So... are you joining us?

Snow White: As a matter of fact, we are.

Sofia: Great.

Snow White: What is this place called, anyway? It's really scary and spooky.

Sofia: This is called "The Haunted Mansion". So come on. It's gonna be fun.

So the Princess followed close with the Royal family as they entered the Mansion. When they came thru the foyer, they looked around.

Sofia: It's quiet... too quiet. Well, except for the music.

The music was spooky, but slow. Suddenly, they heard a mysterious voice.

Ghost Host: When hinges creak in doorless chambers, and strange and frightening sounds echo through the halls; Whenever candlelights flicker where the air is deathly still - that is the time when ghosts are present, practicing their terror with ghoulish delight!

Sofia: Wow...

Amber: Ooh...

James: Aahh...

Ghost Host: Welcome, foolish mortals, to the Haunted Mansion. I am your host, your... ghost host. [chuckles] Kindly step all the way in please and make room for everyone. There's no turning back now. [slowly laughs and low]

So everyone entered a circled room with four paintings.

Ghost Host: Our tour begins here in this gallery where you see paintings of some of our guests as they appeared in their corruptible, mortal state.

Sofia: Wow, look at those paintings.

Amber: Such beautiful art.

James: Why would the Ghost Host call us "Foolish Mortals", Sof?

Sofia: Hmm... Well, They called us that, because those who are gone are immortal spirits, that's also why we living people are mortals.

Suddenly they heard a strange noise. And do you know what? The room began to stretch from top to floor.

Ghost Host: Your cadaverous pallor betrays an aura of foreboding, almost as though you sense a disquieting metamorphosis. Is this haunted room actually stretching? Or is it your imagination, hmm? And consider this dismaying observation: This chamber has no windows and no doors... [chuckles] which offers you this chilling challenge: to find a way out! [laughs] Of course, there's always my way!

As the room stopped stretching, showing the entire paintings of what happened the mortals before they died, the family looked up at the ceiling, and suddenly thunder struck as the room darkened at the same time, revealing the Skeleton of the Ghost host being hung up.

Sofia: [gasps in horror] Oh my goodness!

After the last Lightning flash strike, the family heard something.

Woman: WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH-HWOO-HOO-HOOO...!!! AAAAAAAHH-HOOEEYY...!!!

[KABOOM!!!]

It was so loud, it almost scared the princesses.

Sofia: Geez... That was EXTREMELY scary! But it was Ah-mazing!

Amber: Well, it's really dark in here.

But it wasn't dark for long, until the lights slowly turn back on.

Ghost Host: Oh, I didn't mean to frighten you prematurely. [chuckles] The real chills come later. now, as they say, look alive, and we'll continue our little tour. And let's all stay together, please.

So, the family and the princess team walked thru the main hallway with portraits, as thunder continuously rumbles. Sofia looked at the changing portraits as mortals morph into their haunted fates.

Sofia: Wow, these portraits are changing.

Ghost Host: There are several prominent ghosts who have retired here from creepy old crypts from all over the world. Actually, we have 999 happy haunts here, but there's room for a thousand. Any volunteers, hmm? [laughs] If you insist on lagging behind, you may not need to volunteer!

The family came across the end of the hall where they see some doom buggies slowly moving to them.

Ghost Host: And now, a carriage approaches to take you into the boundless realm of the supernatural. Take you loved ones by the hand, please, and kindly watch your step./The Carriage that will carry you into the moldering sanctum of the spirit world will accommodate you, and one or two loved ones. Kindly watch your step as you board, please. Once on board, remain safely seated with your hands, arms, feet and legs inside. and watch your children, please.

And so, they did, even carefully, one by one.

Ghost Host: Do not pull down on the safety bar, please. I will lower it for you. and Heed this warning: the spirits will materialize, ONLY if you remain quietly seated at all times./Please, do not touch the safety bar. I will lower it for you. As we journey thru our rendezvous with the supernatural, I must insist you remain seated at all times.

The Doom buggies slowly started to move through the Mansion.

Ghost Host: Oh, yes! And no flash pictures, please. We spirits are frightfully sensitive to bright lights./And please, no flash pictures. Ghosts are frightfully sensitive to bright lights./We spirits haunt our best in gloomy darkness. So remember, NO FLASH PICTURES... please.

The doom buggies led the Royal family and the princesses thru the Library...

Ghost Host: Our library is well stock with priceless first editions, only ghost stories of course. [chuckles] and marble busts of the greatest ghost writers the literary world has ever known.

Then, thru the Music room...

Ghost Host: They have all retired here to the Haunted Mansion. Actually, we have 999 happy haunts here, but there's room for a thousand. Any volunteers?? Hmm?

Then, thru the Conservatory...

Ghost Host: Well, if you should decide to join us, final arrangements may be made at the end of the tour. A charming "ghostess" will be on hand to take your application.

Then thru the stairway, where the family and the princesses was led thru the Endless Hallway and Corridor of doors.

Ghost Host: We find it delightfully unlivable here, in this ghostly retreat. Every room has wall to wall creeps, and hot and cold running chills. SHH, Listen!

In the Corridor of doors, the family heard lots of noises continuously happening.

Sofia: Do you guys hear these noises?

Amber: Yeah.

Ghost Host: Lurking at your side is an unseen ghost gently pushing you back into your carriage... urging you to stay.

Sofia didn't actually see the ghost pushing the family back into their carriage, nor did the family or the princesses.

Ghost Host: All our ghosts have been dying to meet you. This one can hardly contain himself. [chuckles] Unfortunately, they all seem to have trouble getting through.

The family's attention is directed towards a large grandfather clock which is striking thirteen as an eerie shadowy hand passes by.

Ghost Host: Perhaps Madame Leota can establish contact. She has a remarkable head for materializing... the disembodied.

At the Seance Circle, the family can see Madame Leota's head in a crystal ball.

Madame Leota: Serpents, and spiders, tail of a rat… Call in the spirits, wherever they're at! Rap on a table, it's time to respond… Send us a message from somewhere beyond! Horntoads and lizards, piddle and strum… Please answer the role by beating a drum! Goblins and ghoulies from last Halloween… Awaken the spirits with your tambourines! Creepies and crawlies, toads in a pond… Let there be music from regions beyond! Harpies, and furies, old friends and new… Blow on a horn so we all know that it's you! Wizards and witches, wherever you dwell… Give us a hint... by ringing a bell!

Ghost Host: The Happy Haunts have received your sympathetic vibrations, and are beginning to materialize. They're assembling for a swinging wake. And they'll be expecting me. I'll see you all a little later.

The Family and princesses was led into a Ballroom with lots of ghosts dancing, and portraits of gunmen shooting at each other. Later, the attic, where they are shown wedding portraits of Constance Hatchaway--a bride with a terrible habit of decapitating her husbands.

Constance Hatchway: Here comes the bride... As long as we both shall live... ...for better, or for worse... Oh, I do. I did. In sickness, and in wealth, you may now kiss the bride... We'll live happily ever after... 'till death, do us part...

Sofia: Oh, dear!

Before the Royal family and the princesses left the attic, they came face to face with the Hatbox ghost whose head disappears from his body and re-appears in the hatbox that he's holding in his hand, which is achieved through a lighting effect. They came across a Big and long auditorium with a projector playing the Disney songs from the past on Halloween based on Happy Hallowishes, and Disney's Not So Spooky Spectacular, but also from past movies, and even Halloween songs outside of Disney.

Sofia: Wow, such amazing music.

The family and princesses came across the Graveyard the singing busts and opera singers were singing the screaming song, "Grim Grinning Ghosts". they ass a frightened caretaker and his dog, then enter the graveyard proper. A band of musicians is playing, a quintet is singing, and many other spooks are enjoying the "swinging wake".

From here, the they entered the crypt.

Ghost Host: Ah, there you are! And just in time. There's a little matter I forgot to mention: BEWARE OF HITCHHIKING GHOSTS! [Laughs] They have selected you to fill our quota and they'll haunt until you return. Now I will raise the safety bar, and a ghost will follow you home! [laughs]

Sofia: Huh?

The family looked thru mirrors in a hallway. They saw the hitchhiking ghosts right beside them.

Amber: Why would ghosts follow us home, Sof?

Sofia: I don't know. But kinda weird to see the ghosts thru those mirrors.

James: Sure is.

As the doom buggies stopped in front of the hall to the exit, the family and the princesses got off the doom buggies walked thru the exit and passed Little Leota.

Little Leota: Hurry back...hurry back... Be sure to bring your death certificate. If you decide to join us... Make final arrangements now. We've been...dying...to have you. [giggles]

The family and princesses exited the Mansion. Cinderella checked her watch. Her bell was ringing at 12:00 AM at midnight. And the other Disney Princesses are about to disappear.

Cinderella: Sof, It's time for us to go back to where we belong.

Sofia: Goodbye!

Amber: Adios!

James: Bye!

Roland: See you!

Miranda: Farewell, ladies!

Cinderella: Goodbye!

So, The Princesses disappeared, and the royal family got back onto the carriage and it rushed back to the Castle. They all hoped to go there every Halloween.
