Many of the creative team from Firebuds are involved in the series, including Krystal Banzon as the co-executive producer and story editor, Kris Wimberly as the supervising director, and Craig Simpson as the producer. Trivia[]

  • Royal Magic series will feature two eleven-minute segment episodes as opposed to the original show's 22 minute episodes. This is done to fit the modernized format of "Disney Jr." and for its 15th anniversary channel event on 2026.
  • According to Craig Gerber, Sofia will be the same age as she was at the end of the original series, indicating that the events of Royal Magic takes place in between the series finales of both Sofia the First and Elena of Avalor, (Forever Royal and Coronation Day) respectively.[5]
    • This also indicates that the show takes place during the run of Elena of Avalor as a midquel.
