Queen Emmaline's Trident
Queen Emmaline's Trident is a magical weapon with the power to control the weather.
History[]
The trident has the power to control the weather. When the Floating Palace appeared in Merroway Cove, Plank proposed that she blow the ship out of the cove. While Crown Princess Cora agreed with this plan, Queen Emmaline, Sven, Princess Oona, and Sofia were all against this plan. Sofia revealed that she was a human and could get the ship to leave. Later, Sofia came back in a panicked state and told the colony that Oona was abducted by a sea monster. Plank refused to believe her and accused her family of taking Oona.
Convinced that Plank is right, Emmaline gives Sofia until sundown to return her daughter or she'll sink the Floating Palace. When time's up and Oona still doesn't come back, Emmaline used it to conjure a storm, but was stopped from making it too fierce by Sven, who saw the sea monster with his own eyes, and who then leads her to Oona, who confirms that Sofia was telling the truth. After apologizing to Sofia, Emmaline uses the trident to stop the storm.
Later on, in "Return to Merroway Cove", Cora decides to use it to stop a sea twister that Oona had summoned by accident with the Mermaid Comb to prevent their mother from finding out. However, not used to the Trident's weight and how to use it, Cora was unable to get a clear shot at the sea twister to dispel it. Emmaline, who had been warned by Sven, then arrives and uses the Trident to dispel the sea twister herself. Afterwards, she is disappointed and upset with her daughters over their misuse of the Mermaid Comb and the Trident, but after they apologize and tell the truth, she still permits them to participate in the performance she had prepared for Sofia and her family, but then tells them they will start their punishment with being confined to the palace first thing tomorrow.
